Overview
One of our favourite hotel website development projects showcases the beautiful Priory Hotel, situated in the historic Saxon town of Wareham between the Rivers Frome and Piddle in the heart of Dorset. The hotel itself boasts a full arsenal of amenities, in keeping with the towns Viking routes, with 17 guest rooms all individually furnished to a high standard, all with their own unique flair and character. Their long-standing membership of Pride of Britain hotels says a lot for the quality of this place.
The hotel itself offers up guests breathtaking views of the nearby River Frume and Purbeck Hills, as well as the beautifully maintained gardens surrounding the hotel, offering up guests a special stay over in Wareham.
Umi were appointed as the marketing and website agency to increase levels of direct bookings, particularly in the shoulder seasons where rural locations have lower levels of transient business.

One of the most crucial parts of any new website build is the scoping session. This is where part of the Umi Digital team head down to meet the hotel in person to understand the property and explore the overall priorities of the new website and wider business strategy. The main factor that was made clear was the must of ensuring the website performed better on mobile devices that the old website while remaining visually attractive on desktops. While the conversion rate was a very high priority, it was the aesthetic and selling the lifestyle of The Priory experience which lead the design efforts.
The whole team were involved in the creation of this new bespoke hotel website, from our lead designer through to our marketing interns currently studying in London from the U.S. The website is now live and has received extremely positive feedback from guests on not just its overall look and design but also its ease of use, which always makes the team happy!
