Hurley House is a multi-award winning boutique hotel in Berkshire, with luxury rooms, a fabulous event space and restaurant. Having undergone a 24 month long refurb project, Hurley House opened its doors to guests in 2016. Being easily accessible from Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Maidenhead and Central London it is a very popular hotel for events, weddings and weekend getaways alike.
What did Umi Digital do?
Working alongside the Hurley House team Umi outlined that a new bespoke website would help to increase site speed, user experience and direct booking conversions. Our designers and developers created a stunning website that will act as a base for future marketing experiences.
The primary requirement of this project was to showcase the Hurley House Hotel in a way fitting of a luxury boutique hotel. This air of luxury was translated through high-quality imagery, simple and effective typography, stylish colour palette and bold layout choices.
The use of micro-interactions, such as hover and scrolling effects as well as innovative transitions and animations were an important part of this design. They served the dual purpose of portraying a sense of high-end luxury as well as providing useful feedback and context for website users.
As well as this website looking stylish and impressive, it is vital that it is able to drive direct bookings and convert visitors into customers. Therefore it was required to be easy to use, fast, intuitive and have all the relevant information customers are looking for. To achieve this, extensive research and testing were carried out, ensuring that the website would perform at an optimal level in all these areas.
