This year the umi Digital team attended ‘The Annual Hotel Conference’ held at Hilton Hotel Deansgate. The event had a great turn out of over 600 delegates from all around the world.
Starting off the conference with an inspirational talk by Kevin Roberts, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, we were left with some interesting ideas about going against the norm, standing out and how to be exciting. Roberts encouraged us to no longer be the Chief Executive Officer, but instead, the Chief Excitement Officer!
The two day conference was filled with guest speakers and workshops following with a cocktail party to celebrate 10 years of success for the AHC, along with several dinner meetings.
Steve, our CEO, was a guest speaker and spoke about the importance of having a website compatible with mobile and tablet devices. Delegates were able to send questions direct to the speakers to be answered live within their talks from their handy iPads, given out at the beginning of the conference; Great for the more timid few who may not be as inclined to ask questions.
If you haven’t been before it is a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals whilst keeping up to date with the latest trends and news within the industry.
